Summers Day
Potomac, MD
This kitchen update was so much fun to design. Our clients requested a kitchen that felt calm and bright. Summer days with the family at the beach is their happy place. Everything we selected had this in mind. From the quarts that mimics waves and sandy shores to the plaster finish on the hood, the textural elements in this space celebrates that feeling.
This project was a partial kitchen refresh. We refaced the bottom cabinets, added new uppers and paneled fridge and rebuilt the island in order to improve function and flow. We also created a fresh drink bar area with a filtered fresh water faucet that opens up to the family room to improve flow and function of that space as well.
Cement 30 inch pendant lights above the island help to balance the large 15 ft island. Beautiful alabaster sconces flank the window to add a unique lighting layer to this kitchen. The touches of brass help elevate the feel and add warmth and elegance to the space. The texture of the zellige tile provides such a handmade feel along with the custom plaster range hood. To complete the look, the leather woven stools add comfort and style.
Total summer day vibes and a feeling of relaxation is what you feel as soon as you enter this kitchen!
